About Frond & Loam

Pottery, plants, and permaculture

Frond & Loam

Frond & Loam was started as a way for Pandora to share her pottery and plants with others. Our designs are inspired by nature and so our pottery has an organic made by nature look.

How to add our designs to your collection

You can purchase our pottery and plants online, visit our studio in Portland, Oregon, or find us at a show. If you wish to visit the studio you can email or call to make an appointment or visit during one of our open house events.

Sweater Weather Craft Show

We'll have an Open Studio during Sweater Weather which is presented by Townsend's Tea. It will be hosted at ADX and at our studio, Studio 425.

About Pandora

Pandora Patterson is the artist and botanist at Frond & loam. She studied Ornamental Horticulture, Retail Floristry, and Botany in California. She owned a flower shop in California in the 90's and then went on to manage several other florist and retail boutiques. She also was groundskeeper at a horticultural school and managed the atrium forest at a large software company in Silicon Valley.

She loves growing vegetables and decorative plants and is the Ornamental Garden manager at an ecovillage and that involves  managing the rainwater catchment swales.

More recently she has studied permaculture at Oregon State University and the Planet Repair institute and has certifications in Permaculture and Advanced Permaculture for Climate Resilience.

She now enjoys bringing her love of work with mud to her pottery studio and growing plants to share with others.
